Football clubs carry a lot of emotional weight - and that energy is hard to translate into a website without it either feeling flat or overwhelming. The challenge was designing something that could hold the full scope of a club's digital presence: live updates, player stories, video content, ticket purchases, and a store - all under one roof, without any of it feeling like it was built separately and stitched together.
Beyond structure, the design needed to feel like the club. Dragon Mekong United has a distinct identity - bold, energetic, young - and the digital experience had to carry that through every screen.
The work started with understanding how top football clubs globally present themselves online - what makes a fan site feel alive versus static, and where Vietnamese football culture differs from what's been done elsewhere.
The design was built around a content-first system: the homepage as a dynamic hub that pulls together the most relevant moments in real time, with clear pathways into each section. Visual direction leaned into contrast and motion - large imagery, strong typography, a color palette that carries the club's energy without overpowering the content.
Each feature was designed with a specific fan need in mind: Dragon TV for reliving moments, Match & Fixtures for staying updated, Player Profiles for building emotional connection, and a ticketing and store flow that gets fans from intent to purchase with as little friction as possible.
